Dat gebeurt, om maar iets concreter te zijn, ergens rond april 2026. “Het wordt een verhaal over Lex Luthor en Superman die tot op zekere hoogte moeten samenwerken tegen een veel, veel grotere dreiging”, vertelt de regisseur over het vervolg. “Het is ingewikkelder dan dat, maar dat is een groot deel ervan. Het is net zo goed een Lex-film als een Superman-film.”

De nieuwe film gaat ‘Man of Tomorrow’ heten. David Corenswet keert terug als Superman en Nicholas Hoult kruipt weer in de huid van Lex Luthor.

De opnames van het langverwachte derde deel gaan in november van start, zo heeft Dwayne Johnson, die een van de hoofdrollen speelt in de films, volgens Collider laten weten tijdens een talkshow op het Festival van Toronto. De lancering staat gepland voor december 2026.

De allereerste ‘Jumanji’-film komt alweer uit 1995 en had Robin Williams in de hoofdrol. Dwayne Johnson kreeg pas een rol in de remake van 2017, waar hij samen met Kevin Hart en Jack Black in speelde. In 2019 volgde er een sequel en volgend jaar komt er dus weer een vervolg. Er is nog niks bekend over het plot van die film.
